It was a breathtaking day at the park. The handsome
little boy and his family were having a picnic. As he was eating, he left his
half-eaten sandwich to aimlessly fly his kite.
“This is fun,” the little
boy chuckled.
As the wind blew harder, the kite soared higher. The boy, who was feeling proud of himself, hummed
a happy harmony. Gradually, he held the kite string tighter. He
was expecting a group of dazzling butterflies to pass by. The diminutive breeze blew his bangs into
his face and then changed into a mighty wind.
The wind was swirling too hard. Abruptly, the kite went up into the
tree and the alarmed boy went with it.
All the drinks and napkins from the picnic blanket were violently swooshed
away like leaves. People were leaving
and shutting the doors of their cars.
Only two families were left: the boy’s family and another. You could see flowers; all their petals
blowing away. An older girl, who
passed by on a two-wheeler bike, tried to help the boy, but he was too high up,
so she went to get help.
The girl never came back. Birds trampled over the kite. The boy hung there for 15 jumbo minutes. He miserably wondered if the girl was
ever going to come back with help. Soon
the storm calmed down and the fog gushed in like a bull. Finally, the boy, who was getting tired, saw
someone off in the distance like a blur.
The person approached closer and closer. The boy saw lots of blurs now.
When he looked closer it was the fire department, the girl and her
parents. Once he returned to the ground
the fog cleared and he found his parents.
